Filling the Gap Indigenous Health program – a privately funded voluntary program that recruits dentists to work at Wuchopperen, a community controlled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health service that provides care from around 20,000 Indigenous people in far north Queensland.
The program comprises a three way partnership where dentists contribute their time and services, Wuchopperen provides accommodation and the Filling the Gap steering committee recruit dentists and provide the airfares.
