Artists to my mind are the real architects of change, and not the political legislators who implement change after the fact.

Reconcile Gallery

The Reconcile Gallery will be curated from time to time by drawing on the work submitted to Play Your Part. It will also showcase some of Australia's most talented Indigenous artists.

The Reconcile Gallery will showcase all genres and art forms. From abstract expressionists to photographers to writers, sculptors, animators, and short film makers the only rule is that the work/s address the question: what does reconciliation mean to you? The Reconcile Gallery features exhibitions by renowned Aboriginal photographer Wayne Quilliam alongside images captured by school children through Reconciliation Australia's Reconciliation: It's All About Us project.

What does reconciliation look like? The works contained in this Gallery provide all the answers we need.

We took him in and grappled him to ground
Fed fame and paid pittance
Let him drink and almost drown
Crowned him blackfella king
Deserted him for newer younger kings
Let him drift and ride the roar between twin worlds”
~ Terry McArthur - No Worries
